How We Got Here

Obsidian Detail Studios started from one idea: getting your car detailed shouldn't mean dropping it off, losing a day, and hoping the shop does it right. So we bring the shop to you and do the whole job in your driveway.

We started in Towson with one mobile rig and a trailer full of professional-grade equipment. From the beginning we ran as a mobile-first studio, not a shop that "also does mobile" on the side. Everything we own, from the water tank to the polishers, is set up to finish a complete detail wherever your car is parked.

That choice shaped the rest. Instead of paying for a storefront and a lobby, we put the money into equipment, products, and the training that changes how a car looks and feels. Today we work across Baltimore City and Baltimore County: driveways in Towson, Timonium and Hunt Valley, condo lots in Federal Hill and Canton, office parking all over the region. We've earned 50+ five-star reviews along the way.

What Makes Us Different

Plenty of detailers say they're "mobile." Few are built for it the way we are. We carry our own water and power, so you never have to supply a hose or an outdoor outlet, and we can work at a single-family home, an apartment lot, a condo deck, or an office garage.

We're also one of the only mobile teams in the Baltimore area doing ceramic coating and paint correction on-site. Most shops insist those have to happen indoors; we built our process to do them in your driveway. Our Bronze, Silver, and Gold packages are priced by vehicle and quoted up front on the request a quote, with no "call for a quote" runaround. And when you book, you get a named tech rather than a faceless crew. Clients ask for Asher by name often enough that we figured it was worth mentioning.
